About the Role

Our client, a leading national retailer, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Area Retail Sales Manager to oversee multiple store locations within the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This critical role is responsible for driving sales performance, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across all assigned stores. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of retail operations, and a proven track record of successfully managing and developing retail teams to achieve ambitious sales targets. This hybrid role involves a combination of field-based work and office-based strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies to achieve and exceed regional sales targets.


• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to store managers and their teams.


• Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and standards across all assigned stores.


• Monitor store performance, analyze sales data, and identify areas for improvement and growth.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.


• Excellent understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.


• Proficiency in sales analysis and performance reporting.


• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region and occasionally to head office.


• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.


• Experience in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape area is advantageous.


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
