Placements24 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape is seeking a Regional Sales Driver to deliver FMCG products to retail clients, promote new lines, manage stock at client sites and build strong customer relationships.

You will travel within the region, upsell, take orders, invoice promptly, and provide market feedback. A valid code 8/EB license, proven sales experience, and independent work ethic are essential. The role offers a base salary with commission, a company vehicle and fuel allowance.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, is seeking a driven and customer-focused Regional Sales Driver to operate within the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This role combines driving responsibilities with sales and account management duties, making it ideal for a motivated individual with a knack for sales and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for delivering products to a diverse range of retail clients, promoting new product lines, managing stock levels at client premises, and building strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable working independently, and possess a deep understanding of sales principles within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver FMCG products to retail clients throughout the Queenstown region according to an established schedule.
• Actively promote and upsell products to existing and potential new clients.
• Manage client accounts, including stock monitoring, order taking, and timely invoicing.
• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess competitor activities and identify sales opportunities.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained, clean, and stocked appropriately.
• Adhere to all company sales policies, safety regulations, and driving laws.
• Accurately record sales, payments, and delivery details.
• Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and sales performance.
• Merchandise products effectively at client locations to maximize visibility and sales.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Code 8/EB) with a clean driving record.
• Proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet sales targets.
• Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
• Must be physically fit to handle product loading and unloading.
• Knowledge of the Queenstown and surrounding areas is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Previous experience with handheld sales devices or order management systems is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; sales or business-related qualification is beneficial.
