Job summary

Belron New Zealand is seeking an Area Manager for the Central North Island region, covering Hastings, Napier, Palmerston North, Fielding, Whanganui and New Plymouth. You will oversee Smith&Smith locations, support dealers, and drive growth while hiring, training, and developing regional teams to ensure Belron standards are met.

The role requires strong leadership, relationship-building, and a proven track record in operations and customer-focused service.

About the role: Area Manager at Smith&Smith® - Central North Island Region

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations of Smith&Smith® corporate service locations and mobile services, support authorised dealers and business development opportunities in the Central North Island Region – including Hastings, Napier, Palmerston North, Fielding, Whanganui and New Plymouth. You will be hiring, training, and developing effective teams, implementing Belron® standards, and working cross-functionally to achieve success. Ultimately, the Area Manager is accountable for driving brand awareness and increasing profitability within their territory.

Location: Smith&Smith Hawke’s Bay (Napier or Palmerston North)

Hours: 40 hours per week between 07:00am – 07:00pm Monday to Friday

What we are looking for:

• Seasoned in managing multiple branches with a keen eye for operational and commercial success.
• Experienced in fostering strong relationships and managing diverse teams across geographies.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering business excellence and continuous improvement.
• Customer focused with a commitment to delivering a first-class experience, account - or sales management experience preferred.
• Strong people management, team leadership and influencing skills.
• A passion for Smith & Smith’s mission to keep Kiwis safe on the road, at home and at work.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• A clean, full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol pre-employment test as part of our selection process.
