Job summary

Belron New Zealand is seeking an experienced Area Manager for the Smith & Smith Central North Island region, covering Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, and surrounding towns. You will lead multi-branch operations, build strong dealer relationships and drive profitability while upholding Belron standards.

You will hire, train and develop regional teams, travel frequently across sites, and report to the National Operations Manager. A full NZ driver’s licence and rights to work are required.

Qualifications

• Seasoned in managing multiple branches with operational and commercial focus.
• Experience in leading diverse, geographically spread teams.
• Delivery of business excellence and continuous improvement.
• Customer-focused with account or sales management experience preferred.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and hold a full NZ driver's licence.
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

About the role – Area Manager at Smith&Smith® Central North Island Region

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations of Smith&Smith® corporate service locations and mobile services, support authorised dealers and business development opportunities in the Central North Island Region – including Hastings, Napier, Palmerston North, Fielding,Whanganui and New Plymouth.

You will be hiring, training, and developing effective teams, implementing Belron® standards, and working cross-functionally to achieve success. Ultimately, the Area Manager is accountable for driving brand awareness and increasing profitability within their territory.

Location

Smith&Smith Hawke’s Bay (Napier or Palmerston North)

Hours

40 hours per week between 07:00am – 07:00pm Monday to Friday

What we are looking for

• Seasoned in managing multiple branches with a keen eye for operational and commercial success.
• Experienced in fostering strong relationships and managing diverse teams across geographies.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering business excellence and continuous improvement.
• Customer focused with a commitment to delivering a first-class experience, account - or sales management experience preferred.
• Strong people management, team leadership and influencing skills.
• A passion for Smith & Smith’s mission to keep Kiwis safe on the road, at home and at work.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Aclean, full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol pre-employment test as part of our selection process.
