Smith&Smith is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities across New Zealand. You will focus on fleet, leasing, rental and trade opportunities, building strong relationships and negotiating with decision-makers to convert prospects into long-term customers.

This growth role sits within Belron NZ and offers exposure to the Belron group, with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from the Support Office in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

About the role – Business Development Manager at Smith&Smith

We're looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities for Smith&Smith® across New Zealand. This is a growth focused role for someone with a genuine hunger for sales, strong relationship building skills and a customer first approach. You'll develop new business across existing and emerging markets, with a particular focus on fleet, leasing, rental and trade opportunities. You'll also identify cross-selling opportunities across the Belron NZ profile, working closely with the Commercial team to develop strategic partnerships and deliver sustainable revenue growth. This role will suit a confident relationship builder who can identify opportunities, influence decision-makers, negotiate effectively and turn prospects into long term customers.

Location: Support Office at 1 Carmont Place, Mount Wellington, Auckland 1060

Hours: 40 hours per week between 07:00am – 07:00pm Monday to Friday.

What we’re looking for:

• 3 – 5 plus years’ experience in business development or related commercial role, ideally within the building, construction or service industry.
• Open track record of winning a new business, securing commercial opportunities and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong commercial acumen with a genuine hunger for growth and a proactive, custom-first approach.
• Excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies and plans.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
