Job summary

Belron NZ Ltd. is seeking a Branch Manager for the Otago Hub (Dunedin and Oamaru). You’ll lead the autoglass service team, drive daily operations, ensure safety and quality, and deliver outstanding customer service.

This hands-on leadership role requires managing performance, mentoring technicians, and building a high-performing culture. You’ll be comfortable with a busy shop floor, have a clean NZ driver’s licence, and a track record of team development in auto glass or similar.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ autoglass technician/operational experience.
• Proven leadership in a fast-paced environment with direct reports.
• Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication with customers and team.
• Solid SH&W understanding and adherence to policy.

Responsibilities

About the role – Branch Manager at Smith&Smith® - Otago Hub

Location: Smith&Smith Otago Hub - includes branches in Dunedin and Oamaru

Hours: 40 hours per week, rostered across Monday – Sunday

About You:

You’re an experienced professional with a strong background in autoglass or a related customer-facing operational role.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• At least 3 years’ experience as an autoglass technician, including repair, replacement, and ADAS recalibration — or equivalent experience in an operational or customer service role within the autoglass or similar trade-based industry.
• Demonstrated successful Leadership capability from a fast-paced environment with multiple direct reports
• Team-building experience, with a focus on leveraging diverse skills and perspectives to achieve shared goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into clear, actionable steps.
• A solid understanding of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing practices, with a track record of applying them effectively in line with company policies.
• Excellent communication skills, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and a shared understanding across your team and with customers.
• Commercial awareness, using your knowledge of the industry and market trends to help drive business success.
• Prepared to be hands on when required to serve customers and support your team.
• You’ll need to have a high level of physical fitness and able to lift over 25kg repetitively to do that.
• A clean, full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol pre-employment test as part of our selection process.
