Job summary

Belron New Zealand (Smith&Smith®, Laser® and Exceed) is seeking an Area Manager for the Central North Island region. You will oversee operations across branches and mobile services, hire and develop teams, and implement Belron standards to improve profitability and brand growth.

You will work across Hastings, Napier, Palmerston North, Fielding, Whanganui and New Plymouth. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will build strong dealer and staff relationships, drive continuous

About the role: Area Manager at Smith&Smith® - Central North Island Region

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations of Smith&Smith® corporate service locations and mobile services, support authorised dealers and business development opportunities in the Central North Island Region – including Hastings, Napier, Palmerston North, Fielding, Whanganui and New Plymouth. You will be hiring, training, and developing effective teams, implementing Belron® standards, and working cross-functionally to achieve success. Ultimately, the Area Manager is accountable for driving brand awareness and increasing profitability within their territory.

Location: Smith&Smith Hawke’s Bay (Napier or Palmerston North)

Hours: 40 hours per week between 07:00am – 07:00pm Monday to Friday

What we are looking for:

• Seasoned in managing multiple branches with a keen eye for operational and commercial success.
• Experienced in fostering strong relationships and managing diverse teams across geographies.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering business excellence and continuous improvement.
• Customer focused with a commitment to delivering a first-class experience, account - or sales management experience preferred.
• Strong people management, team leadership and influencing skills.
• A passion for Smith & Smith’s mission to keep Kiwis safe on the road, at home and at work.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• A clean, full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol pre-employment test as part of our selection process.
