Job summary

Belron New Zealand, including Smith&Smith Otago Hub, seeks a Branch Manager to lead a skilled autoglass team across Dunedin and Oamaru. You will drive operations, service excellence, and a safe, inclusive culture while meeting branch targets.

You will bring 3+ years in autoglass or related ops, proven leadership, and a hands-on approach to empower your team and serve customers daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' autoglass tech or equivalent in ops/customer service.
• Demonstrated successful leadership in fast-paced environments with multiple direct reports.
• Team-building experience leveraging diverse skills to achieve goals.
• Strong problem-solving with clear, actionable steps.
• Solid understanding of Safety, Health & Wellbeing practices.
• Excellent communication across team and with customers.
• Commercial awareness to help drive business success.
• Willing to be hands-on and lift 25kg+ when required.

About the role – Branch Manager at Smith&Smith® - Otago Hub

Location:Smith&Smith Otago Hub - includes branches in Dunedin and Oamaru

Hours:40 hours per week, rostered across Monday – Sunday

About You:

You’re an experienced professional with a strong background in autoglass or a related customer-facing operational role. Ideally, you’ll bring:

At least 3 years’ experienceas an autoglass technician, including repair, replacement, and ADAS recalibration —orequivalent experience in an operational or customer service role within the autoglass or similar trade-based industry.

Demonstrated successful Leadership capabilityfrom a fast-paced environment with multiple direct reports

Team-building experience, with a focus on leveraging diverse skills and perspectives to achieve shared goals.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into clear, actionable steps.

A solid understanding of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing practices, with a track record of applying them effectively in line with company policies.

Excellent communication skills, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and a shared understanding across your team and with customers.

Commercial awareness, using your knowledge of the industry and market trends to help drive business success.

Prepared to be hands onwhen required to serve customers and support your team. You'll need to have a high level of physical fitness and able to lift over 25kg repetitively to do that.

Aclean, full New Zealand driver’s licence.
