Royal New Zealand Plunket Trust – Waikato District, North Island – is seeking a Perinatal Wellbeing Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support to a new online service focused on the Waikato region. This role is a part-time fixed-term position until 31st January 2028.

As the central contact for referrals and client information, you will monitor referrals, enrol clients, book appointments and maintain client records while upholding confidentiality and culturally responsive

Qualifications

  • Strong administration experience, ideally within a health or clinical environment.
  • Exceptional dataentry skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience using patient or client information systems, or the confidence to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with whānau, referrers and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to TeTiriti o Waitangi, culturally responsive practice and equitable outcomes for Māori.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the service inbox and process incoming referrals.
  • Contact potential clients and follow up referrals in a timely and mana-enhancing way.
  • Support whānau to understand the service, provide informed consent and complete enrolment.
  • Communicate with referrers to obtain complete and accurate information.
  • Book appointments and maintain accurate, complete and secure client records.
  • Identify priority needs and escalate information appropriately to support the safe management of referrals.
  • Maintain the integrity of client information systems and complete quality checks.
  • Prepare reports and information for the Perinatal Wellbeing Service Manager.
  • Provide wider administrative support to the service manager and multidisciplinary team.

We’re lucky to have the opportunity to connect with the majority of Aotearoa’s whānau during their child’s first five years. Our virtual perinatal wellbeing servicesupports parents experiencing mild to moderate distress, anxiety or depression, helping to strengthen wellbeing, parenting confidence and the parent-infant relationship.

As our Perinatal Wellbeing Administrator, you’ll provide highquality administrative support to a new online service focused primarily on the Waikato region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team and help shape a pilot programme with the potential to inform Plunket’s future mental health services. This is a part timefixed term position until 31stJanuary 2028.

In thisposition, you’ll play an important role in ensuring whānau experience a welcoming, responsive and well-coordinated service from their first point of contact.

As a central contact for referrals and client information, you will:

You’re an experienced administrator who brings warmth, empathy and sound judgement to every interaction. You understand that the people contacting this service may be experiencing a challenging time, and you can communicate sensitively while maintainingappropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.

You will also bring:
