Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a Technical Safety Senior / Principal Engineer to join their team in Stavanger. You will work within functional safety, SIL, area classification, F&G/ESD, and evacuation planning, contributing to offshore safety design.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor degree, Oil & Gas/NCS experience, and strong Norwegian and English communication. You will participate in FEED and early studies, while upholding high standards and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics.
• Experience in Oil & Gas on the NCS.
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred).
• Experience in offshore process safety design.
• Knowledge of NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API standards etc.
• Excellent communication in Norwegian and English.
• Cooperative working attitude and high compliance to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to functional safety tasks including FSA, SIL, and area classification.
• Handle Fire & Gas (F&G) / ESD, escape routes and evacuation planning.
• Assess WHERA, environmental and energy considerations in design and operation.

Job Description:

• As part of the technical safety team you will have the opportunity to work in some of the following areas: Functional Safety Engineering (FSA), Safety integrity level (SIL), Area classification, Fire and Gas (F&G) / Emergency shut down (ESD), Escape routes and evacuation means, Passive and active fire protection (PFP), Working environment (WHERA, chemical risk analysis, Human factors), External environment (BAT assessment, environmental budget, energy demand, air emissions, discharge to sea, chemical usage)

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics
• Work experience within the Oil&Gas industry in the NCS
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred)
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standard, i.e. NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API standards etc
• Have good communication skills, orally and written, in Norwegian and English
