Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting in Stavanger, Norway, seeks a Technical Safety - Senior/Principal Engineer to lead process safety deliverables on offshore oil & gas projects. You will drive FSA, SIL, HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA, area classification, and F&G/ESD studies while collaborating with Omega 365 professionals.

Requires a Master or Bachelor in a relevant field, strong Norwegian and English communication, and a cooperative, systematic approach; visa support and networking events are available across Norway and

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics.
• Oil & Gas experience on the NCS.
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design.
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA.
• Knowledge of NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API standards.
• Strong communication in Norwegian and English.
• Cooperative working attitude; systematic and accurate.
• High loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements.
• Self-learning skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to functional safety engineering (FSA) and SIL assessments.
• Participate in area classification and Fire & Gas (F&G) / ESD studies.
• Address escape routes and evacuation planning; PFP considerations.
• Apply WHERA, chemical risk analysis, human factors.
• Assess external environment: BAT, emissions, discharges.
• Collaborate with Omega 365 team and clients on FEED/early studies.

Assignment Description

As part of the technical safety team you will have the opportunity to work in some of the following areas:

• Functional Safety Engineering (FSA)
• Safety integrity level (SIL)
• Area classification
• Fire and Gas (F&G) / Emergency shut down (ESD)
• Escape routes and evacuation means
• Passive and active fire protection (PFP)
• Working environment (WHERA, chemical risk analysis, Human factors)
• External environment (BAT assessment, environmental budget, energy demand, air emissions, discharge to sea, chemical usage)

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics
• Required Work Experience:
• Work experience within the Oil&Gas industry in the NCS
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred)
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, i.e. NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API standards etc
• Have good communication skills, orally and written, in Norwegian and English
• Have a cooperative working attitude
• Be systematic and accurate
• Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Have a high degree of self learning skills
