Job summary

Head Energy Group seeks a Senior/Principal Engineer for Technical Safety. You will perform Functional Safety Engineering, assess SIL, area classification, Fire & Gas, ESD, and evacuation aspects.

The role involves WHERA, chemical risk analyses and evaluating external environmental factors in offshore projects. Requirements include a Master or Bachelor degree, Oil & Gas NCS experience, knowledge of HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA/WHERA, and proficiency in Norwegian and English.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics.
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry on the NCS.
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design.
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards (NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API).
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Cooperative, systematic and accurate with strong deadline focus and self-learning.

Responsibilities

• Functional Safety Engineering (FSA) activities.
• Assess safety systems including SIL, area classification, F&G/ESD.
• Evaluate escape routes and evacuation means.
• Develop and review fire and gas protection (PFP).
• Assess WHERA and chemical risk analyses.
• Consider external environment factors (air emissions, discharges).

• Area classification
• Fire and Gas (F&G) / Emergency shut down (ESD)
• Escape routes and evacuation means
• Passive and active fire protection (PFP)
• Working environment (WHERA, chemical risk analysis, Human factors)
• External environment (BAT assessment, environmental budget, energy demand, air emissions, discharge to sea, chemical usage)

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics
• Work experience within the Oil&Gas industry in the NCS
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred)
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, i.e. NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API standards etc
• Have good communication skills, orally and written, in Norwegian and English
