Energy AS is seeking a seasoned project planner to manage scheduling for the Civil scope within EPC projects in Norway. You will coordinate with subcontractors and lead Level 4/5 schedules, driving progress reviews and risk mitigations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of project planning experience from EPC projects.
  • Preferably Civil planning background.
  • Experience with Safran Project and scheduling tools.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and work logic.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the Civil scope.
  • Communicate and integrate the plan from the subcontractor.
  • Establish and maintain Level 4 and Level 5 schedules for the Civil scope.
  • Lead project progress reviews and validate progress against plans.
  • Highlight critical path and risks and propose mitigations.
  • Follow up scheduling per contract, regulations and processes.
  • Provide scheduling analysis to support decisions.
  • Communicate scheduling issues to planning manager for adjustments.
  • Seek opportunities to improve the schedule and materialize them.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the Civil scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stkaholders in the project, including the subcontractor for the Civil scope.
  • Communicate and integrate the plan from the subcontractor.
  • Establish and maintain Level 4 and Level 5 schedules for the Civil scope.
  • Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
  • Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimization & mitigation actions.
  • Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and company work processes.
  • Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.
  • Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.
  • Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization of these.
Required Education

Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.

Required Work Experience
  • Minimum 5 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
  • Preferably experience from Civil planning
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project

  • Extensive experience with Safran Project.
  • Strong understanding of schedule planning, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining Level 4 and Level 5 schedules.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, work logic, and interfaces between disciplines.
Industry-Specific Qualifications
  • Experience from EPC, modification, or field development projects within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience planning civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation activities.
  • Familiarity with commissioning and completion processes is an advantage.
  • Ability to coordinate schedules with contractors and on-site construction activities.

  • Ability to identify risks and propose mitigation measures to ensure project progress.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
