Job summary

Dovre Solutions AS is seeking a skilled Scheduling Project Planner to lead the engineering schedule across EPC projects. You will coordinate with stakeholders to maintain Level 4/5 schedules, drive progress reviews, and identify risks and mitigations to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in project planning, proficiency in Safran Project or Primavera, and strong English communication. This is a fixed-term position based in Asker with international project exposure.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in a technical or commercial field; relevant experience may compensate.
• Minimum 3 years in project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience with Safran Project and Primavera tools.
• Excellent skills in schedule risk management and critical path analysis.
• Strong communication in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and control engineering scope, coordinating with stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain Level 4/5 schedules for engineering scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate actual progress.
• Highlight critical path and risks; propose mitigation actions.
• Follow scheduling per contract, regulations, and company processes.
• Provide scheduling analyses to support management decisions.
• Communicate potential scheduling issues to planning manager.

Function

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stkaholders in the project.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 (and Level 5?) for the engineering scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
• Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimization & mitigation actions.
• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and company work processes.
• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.
• Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.
• Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization of these.

Requirements

Required Education:

• Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience from engineering planning
• Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project
• Experience with and knowledge of client method

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent skills within the use of Safran Project. Candidates with excellent skills within Primavera will also be evaluated.
• Highly competent within critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis – monitor and follow up closely
• Scenario planning with the ability to suggest mitigating actions to recover project delay.
• Experience with working together with contract, estimation, risk and cost resources to ensure alignment between plan and their deliverables.
