Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Planning / Senior Planner for projects in Haugesund or Asker, Norway. The role focuses on schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope, driving progress reviews and ensuring alignment with contract requirements.

You will establish Level 4/5 schedules, monitor critical paths, and coordinate with contract, estimation, risk and cost teams. Strong English communication is essential for cross‑site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in technical or commercial topics; relevance may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience with engineering planning.
• Experience with Safran Project; Primavera knowledge acceptable.

Planning / Senior Planner

Contract period: 19.10.2026 - 31.12.2027

Location: Haugesund or Asker

Main tasks:

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stakeholdersin the project.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 (and Level 5?) for the engineering scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
• Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimisation& mitigation actions.
• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and Company work processes.
• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.
• Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.
• Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialisationof these.

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience from engineering planning.
• Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project.
• Experience with and knowledge of Company method.
• Excellent skills within the use of Safran Project. Candidates with excellent skills within Primavera will also be evaluated.
• Highly competent within critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis – monitor and follow up closely.
• Scenario planning with the ability to suggest mitigating actions to recover project delay.
• Experience with working together with contract, estimation, risk and cost resources to ensure alignment between plan and their deliverables.
