Job summary

Dovre Solutions AS, a trusted global provider of project management services, seeks a Planning / Senior Planner in Norway. The role covers schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope, including critical path analysis and progress reviews.

Location: Asker or Haugesund, contract through 31.12.27. You will lead progress reviews, identify risks, and collaborate with contract, estimation, risk and cost resources to align plan and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience with engineering planning and Safran Project or Primavera.
• Competence in critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis.
• Solid communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope.

• Lead project progress reviews and validate actual progress.
• Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule and propose mitigation actions.
• Follow up overall scheduling according to contract, regulations and client processes.
• Provide scheduling analysis to aid management decisions.
• Communicate scheduling issues to planning manager to prompt adjustments and improvements.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization.

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stkaholders in the project.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 (and Level 5?) for the engineering scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
• Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimization & mitigation actions.
• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and client work processes.
• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.
• Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.
• Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization of these.

Required Education:

• Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience from engineering planning
• Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project
• Experience with and knowledge of client method

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent skills within the use of Safran Project. Candidates with excellent skills within Primavera will also be evaluated.
• Highly competent within critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis – monitor and follow up closely
• Scenario planning with the ability to suggest mitigating actions to recover project delay.
• Experience with working together with contract, estimation, risk and cost resources to ensure alignment between plan and their deliverables.
