Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting in Norway is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to drive civil-scope planning for EPC projects. You will develop and maintain Level 4/5 schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and on-site teams to ensure milestones are met.

The role requires a technical or commercial degree and 5+ years in project planning, with strong Safran Project skills and a track record in civil planning. You will collaborate with planning managers to optimize timelines and manage risks.

Qualifications

• Master or bachelor in technical or commercial fields; relevant experience may compensate.
• Minimum 5 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Preferably experience from Civil planning and Safran Project.
• Strong understanding of schedule planning, resource planning, and cost control.
• Ability to coordinate schedules with contractors and on-site construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 4 and Level 5 civil schedules.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate progress.
• Highlight critical paths and risks; propose mitigations.
• Follow up scheduling according to contract, regulations and processes.
• Provide planning analysis to support management decisions.
• Communicate potential scheduling issues to planning manager.

Assignment Description

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the Civil scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stkaholders in the project, including the subcontractor for the Civil scope.
• Communicate and integrate the plan from the subcontractor.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 and Level 5 schedules for the Civil scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
• Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimization & mitigation actions.
• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and company work processes.
• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.
• Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.
• Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization of these.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Preferably experience from Civil planning
• Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project
• Extensive experience with Safran Project.
• Strong understanding of schedule planning, resource planning, and cost control.
• Experience establishing and maintaining Level 4 and Level 5 schedules.
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, work logic, and interfaces between disciplines.
• Experience from EPC, modification, or field development projects within the oil and gas industry.
• Experience planning civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation activities.
• Familiarity with commissioning and completion processes is an advantage.
• Ability to coordinate schedules with contractors and on-site construction activities.
• Structured and proactive.
• Ability to identify risks and propose mitigation measures to ensure project progress.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Results-oriented, with a strong focus on achieving project objectives and milestones.
