Job summary

Omega AS is seeking a Project Engineer with an electrical project background to follow up a Power From Shore project for the Operator. The role requires knowledge of offshore electrification and HVDC, with experience in HV/MV substations, GIS/AIS, transformers, and system integration.

You will coordinate technical interfaces, drive PIMS organization, and support project reviews through delivery, FAT/SAT, installation, and handover.

Qualifications

• Has experience from both early phase and execution phase of oil and gas projects.
• Education and background from one or more of the engineering disciplines.
• Multidiscipline understanding, preferably from subsea.
• You must be proactive and forward leaning.
• Drive and mindset for improving, simplifying and streamlining how we work.
• Early phase, PIMS, organizing and structuring—not discipline engineer, but multidiscipline PM support.

Responsibilities

• Follow up Power From Shore project for the Operator.
• Follow up electrical Package Delivery, FAT/SAT, Installation, Commissioning and handover.
• Establish and maintain information management, planner boards, action lists.
• Set up PIMS systems and routines for the projects.
• Design basis and functional requirements for the project(s).
• Structure and organize PIMS for the projects, e.g. Interface, Technical Queries modules.
• Handle and coordinate multidiscipline topics (Interface, risk, technical queries).
• Support management reviews and other assurance activities.
• HVDC overall high level competence.

Assignment Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer with electrical project background to follow up a Power From Shore project for the Operator. The Project Engineer needs to have knowledge of offshore Electrification and Power-from-Shore systems, HV/MV Substations - GIS/AIS, Transformers and Switchgear Eletrical, System Integration and Techncial Interface Management, EPCIC Engineering Coordination, Design Reviews and Technical Assurance. Follow up electrical Package Delivery, FAT/SAT, Installation, Commissioning and handover. HVDC overall high level competence.

The tasks can vary depending on project and project phases, but typical tasks are:

• simplify and standardize project documentation.
• setting up PIMS systems and routines for the projects
• design basis and functional requirements for the project(s)
• structuring and organizing PIMS for the projects, e.g Interface, Technical Queries modules
• handling and coordination of multidiscipline topics, e.g Interface, risk, technical queries
• support management reviews and other assurance activities
• establish and maintain well-structured information management, planner boards, action lists
