Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting in Haugesund or Asker seeks an experienced Scheduling specialist to lead planning for EPC projects, manage critical path, cadence, and risk. You will coordinate with contract, estimation, and cost resources to align plans with deliverables.

Use Safran Project (Primavera welcomed) to perform schedule analysis, develop mitigation actions, and present proactive recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in technical or commercial topics.
• Minimum 3 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience with engineering planning.
• Excellent skills within the use of Safran Project; Primavera knowledge considered.

Responsibilities

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 (and Level 5?) for the engineering scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
• Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule and propose optimization & mitigation actions.
• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and Aibel work processes.
• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.
• Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.
• Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization of these.

Assignment Description

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stkaholders in the project.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 (and Level 5?) for the engineering scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.
• Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimization & mitigation actions.
• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and Aibel work processes.
• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.

• Minimum 3 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience from engineering planning
• Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project
• Experience with and knowledge of client method
• Excellent skills within the use of Safran Project. Candidates with excellent skills within Primavera will also be evaluated.
• Highly competent within critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis – monitor and follow up closely
• Scenario planning with the ability to suggest mitigating actions to recover project delay.
• Experience with working together with contract, estimation, risk and cost resources to ensure alignment between plan and their deliverables.
