Job summary

If P&C Insurance Ltd (publ), Branch Denmark is seeking a Coastal Hull Underwriter to join our Nordic Marine team in Norway. You will underwrite coastal hull risks for commercial customers, balance profitability with client needs, and collaborate with brokers, customers, and colleagues across the Nordics.

You will contribute to portfolio development, loss prevention, and cross-border underwriting initiatives while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment with strong Nordic cooperation.

Qualifications

• Relevant education and/or equivalent experience within the maritime industry.
• Experience and sound understanding of coastal hull insurance business.
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex risk information.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with brokers and commercial shipping customers (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Assessing and underwriting coastal hull risks for commercial customers.
• Evaluating exposures at customer and portfolio level.
• Determining pricing based on risk assessments and expected loss.
• Negotiating terms with customers and brokers.
• Supporting sales and service teams in coastal hull growth.
• Contributing to portfolio profitability and performance management.
• Collaborating with Marine and Commercial teams across the Nordic region.
