Underwriting Operations

We are looking for a new Executive, Underwriting Operations to join our dedicated Hull team in Oslo. In this role, you will play an important part supporting the Underwriters with a variety of tasks to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the processes in the underwriting team, while collaborating with colleagues across Operations, Accounting and Claims.

The role - what you will do

As an Underwriter Operations Executive, your daily tasks will consist of:

• Work alongside the Underwriters and provide general assistance to the Underwriting team
• Support the underwriting process by maintaining accurate records and modifying existing policies
• Collect insurance information that facilitates the risk assessment process
• Maintain and create accurate, up-to-date records. Enter and verify all documents for accuracy and completion. Updating databases with entries, issuing statistics, lists and various other reports
• Assist in KYC & compliance related matters
• Close liaison with Accounting, Claims and Business Operations Teams
• Work in conformity with our Underwriting guidelines
• Take responsibility on specific work tasks of varied complexity

• Education within relevant field such as shipping, business administration or relevant work experience from the maritime industry

• Ability to work independently and handle a large workload and meet strict deadlines
