Norway's Best Group AS in Narvik is seeking a Head Chef to shape our dining experiences across Basecamp, Fjellheisrestauranten, and a new restaurant.
You will build menus, lead the kitchen team, ensure quality and safety, manage staffing and costs, and collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to deliver memorable meals throughout the year.
This role offers the opportunity to develop talent and drive culinary direction in a dynamic, year-round alpine destination.
From quick meals between runs on the slopes to exclusive dinners in spectacular surroundings, we are developing a range of dining concepts in Narvik. We are now looking for a Head Chef who can set the culinary direction, build a strong kitchen team and turn good ideas into successful day-to-day operations.
We are developing the dining experiences at Basecamp and Fjellheisrestauranten, and a new restaurant at Basecamp is on the way. Across our concepts, we want to showcase locally sourced ingredients, reflect our surroundings and give guests a reason to return.
We are building a new kitchen team, and as Head Chef, you will play a key role in bringing people together, developing their skills and shaping how the team works. Together, you will develop menus and food concepts across our restaurants, creating an environment where both experienced chefs and those earlier in their careers can contribute and grow.
You will lead kitchen operations and develop the menues and food concepts across Basecamp and Fjellheisrestauranten, with future collaboration extending to Polar Park. You will help shape new dining experiences while ensuring quality and smooth daily operations. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and report to the Head of Accommodation and Food & Beverage.
You have substantial experience in professional kitchens and people management, ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef. You are creative and curious about ingredients, while understanding what it takes to deliver consistent quality with a full house. You set clear expectations, help your team develop and enjoy working alongside them in the kitchen.
You have a formal qualification as a chef or equivalent practical experience, along with experience in menu development, kitchen operations and financial management.
Narvikfjellet and Polar Park became part of Norway's best group in January 2026. In the lead-up to the 2029 Alpine World Ski Championships, we will develop our facilities, product portfolio and organisation. Our ambition is to create a destination that guests want to visit all year round - well beyond the championships.
You will play a central role in shaping our dining experiences, supported by colleagues and professional expertise across Norway's best group.
