Job summary

Swapfiets is seeking a Talent Acquisition intern to join our team in Amsterdam. You will support the full recruitment cycle, source candidates, screen applications, and coordinate interviews while contributing to intern programs and candidate experience activities.

You will work closely with hiring teams to understand role requirements, help optimize recruitment tools, and share ideas to improve processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Full-time availability (40 hours).
• 6-month internship duration.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proactive, creative, and able to think outside the box to attract talent.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Based in Amsterdam area or willing to commute (no travel compensation for interns).
• Affinity/experience with Recruitment or Talent acquisition is a plus.
• Eager to learn and take ownership in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end recruitment from job posting to hiring.
• Assist with sourcing candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, and internal databases.
• Screen applications and coordinate interview processes, including scheduling and candidate comms.
• Contribute to talent engagement initiatives and intern programs.
• Suggest ideas to improve recruitment strategies, tools and processes.
• Support transition and optimization of recruitment tools and platforms to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with hiring teams to understand role requirements and attract top talent.

As a Talent Acquisition intern you will be part of our Talent Acquisition team; the team responsible for Recruiting employees, employee experience, and performance management.

How you pedal us forward:

• Supporting the Talent Acquisition team in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to hiring;
• Assisting with sourcing candidates through various channels, including job boards, LinkedIn, and internal databases;
• Screening applications and coordinating interview processes, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates;
• Contributing to talent engagement initiatives, including intern programs and candidate experience activities;
• Contributing ideas to improve recruitment strategies, tools, and processes;
• Supporting the transition and optimization of recruitment tools and people-related platforms to enhance user experience;
• Partnering with hiring teams to understand role requirements and attract top talent;

The gear you need:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field;
• Available to work full-time (40 hours);
• Available to work for a period of 6 months;
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities;
• Proactive, creative, and comfortable thinking outside the box to attract and engage talent;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Living in the Amsterdam area or willing to commute (please note that Swapfiets does not offer travel compensation for interns);
• Affinity and/or experience with Recruitment or Talent acquisition is a plus;
• Eager to learn, and ready to take ownership in a dynamic environment!
