Job summary

Swapfiets is looking for a Store Associate to join our team in Amsterdam, delivering exceptional service to members and helping them set up subscriptions. You will identify opportunities to upsell products, keep the shop clean, and perform light bike repairs to keep bikes in top shape.

The role requires at least 32 hours per week, English proficiency, and a passion for bikes. We offer a lease Swapfiets, a structured schedule, and team events in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles in a retail or service environment.
• Willingness to perform basic bike repairs.
• Ability to work at least 32 hours per week including some weekend shifts.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Work in the store and deliver outstanding Swapfiets service to members.
• You’re the first point of contact for (potential) members, helping them set up a new subscription or providing support with any issues they might have.
• Providing sales through service and identifying what product(s) would best fit the member, to contribute to our commercial targets.
• You keep the shop clean, tidy and organized.
• Perform small bike repairs and preventive maintenance on our Swapfiets bikes in the store, so our members can happily keep biking.

How you pedal us forward!

• Work in the store and deliver outstanding Swapfiets service to members;

• Available to work a minimum of 32hours per week on weekdays, with occasional availability on Saturdays;
• Understand and speak English;
• Affinity with bikes and service;
• Whether working independently or as part of a team, you always work successfully!;
