Swapfiets invites you to join as an IT Support Intern, the go-to tech problem-solver for our growing team. You’ll install and maintain systems, resolve connectivity issues, and support staff with tech needs in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Applicants should study IT-related fields, be fluent in English, and enroll at a Dutch university for the internship duration. Based in Amsterdam, the role runs 40 hours per week for six months with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Studying an IT-related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Development.
• Enrolled at a Dutch university for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain computer systems.
• Resolve internet and connectivity issues.
• Provide printing and meeting room equipment support.
• Meet staff for one-on-one technical assistance as needed.
• Help maintain the team’s knowledge base and documentation on Confluence and Intranet.
• Ensure that every new hire has all the equipment and access they need to succeed.
• Manage user accounts, access privileges and secure the environment.
• Determine causes of malfunctions through evaluation, testing, and resolution.
• Train staff on software and hardware use.
• Help resolve daily issues and tickets.
• Enforce IT policies and ensure compliance with security protocols.

IT Support Internship

As our IT Support Intern, you’ll be the Swiss Army Knife of our tech team, ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way. You’ll help us keep our systems up and running smoothly and ensure that everyone has the tools they need to succeed. And, you’ll be doing it all in a fun, supportive, and collaborative work environment that values creativity, innovation, and teamwork.

What you will do

The gear you need

• Studying an IT‑related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Development.
• Currently living in Amsterdam or the surrounding areas to work at the HQ.
• Available for 6 months, starting ASAP.
• Ready to work full‑time (40 hours per week).
• Independent, organized, and a good communicator.
• Proactive and hands‑on mentality.
• Fluent in English.
• Will be enrolled in a Dutch university for the whole duration of the internship.
