Job summary

Deel is building its payroll operations for Sweden and you will be the founding Country Product Manager. You’ll own end-to-end strategy and work with engineering, payroll operations, HR, and compliance to translate local requirements into scalable products.

You will balance what to build first, what to defer, and how to hit market timelines, while leveraging AI and collaborating with local teams to ensure compliance and speed.

Qualifications

• Based in EMEA with Nordic timezone alignment essential.
• Fluent Swedish speaker; English required for coordination.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and making good decisions with incomplete information.
• Strong stakeholder management across teams and external partners.
• Pragmatism and systems thinking to fit payroll, HR, time tracking, and compliance together.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy for the Swedish market across payroll, HR, time, and services.
• Work with your dedicated engineering team to execute on the roadmap.
• Coordinate across Product (payroll engine), Time, HRIS, and Services teams to align on dependencies.
• Break complex requirements into iterative pieces. Ship early, learn from customers, iterate.
• Own the relationship with key accounts, understanding their needs and validating your solutions.
• Work with sales, implementation, and local compliance teams to ensure scalable solutions.
• Think entrepreneur; build the playbook for a new market from scratch.
• Use AI to speed up the build and work with local compliance teams.
• Navigate Sweden's tripartite labor system and GDPR compliance to build Nordic templates.
• Establish Sweden as Deel's Nordic anchor and create scalable playbooks for Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
