Job summary

LUMION is seeking a Senior HR Operations Specialist to own Deel-based HR operations, payroll, and contractor management across multiple countries, including the Netherlands. You will also drive onboarding/offboarding processes and build a global self-service knowledge base.

You will report to the Head of People & Culture, collaborating with Finance and IT, and will optimize workflows using AI and automation to support colleagues whether in Sassenheim or remotely worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HR operations, ideally international scale-up or tech company.
• Experience with EOR set-ups, international contractors, and payroll.
• Experience with Deel or similar platforms (Remote, Rippling, Oyster) and related workflows.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own HR operations in Deel as HRIS and source of truth.
• Manage lifecycle for Dutch employees, EOR employees, and contractors in Deel.
• Own monthly payroll in Deel for Dutch, EOR, and contractors and coordinate with Finance.
• Advise on setup per country (employee, EOR, contractor) and flag compliance risks.
• Be first point of contact for HR questions; handle payslips, leave, benefits, contracts.
• Build a self-service knowledge base for users in multiple time zones.
• Set up onboarding/offboarding with IT; coordinate with hiring managers; ensure complete offboarding.
• Automate Deel workflows and AI tools; keep policies and guides up to date.
