Job summary

WLG in the Netherlands is seeking a chief technician to join the integrated team supporting the defence organisation. You will own second-line incidents, diagnose complex faults and ensure timely resolution in a security-minded environment.

You will install, monitor and maintain service components, participate in change reviews, and coordinate outages. You’ll work with staff and contractors, and provide English-language support to users during operations.

Qualifications

• Background in computer science or information technology.
• Second-line support in a service-managed environment with a ticketing system and change process.
• Comfort working in an integrated team of staff and contractors.
• Professional English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Respond to, categorise, document and resolve incidents and requests through the ticketing toolset.
• Install, maintain and monitor components of supported services during operations and exercises.
• Escalate to third line and assist with troubleshooting.
• Act as SME for supported applications for users and communities of interest.
• Apply patches and updates and coordinate outages they need.
• Participate in the change advisory board for new releases and daily planning/reporting.
• Share on-call duty on flexible shifts.
