In this remote role, you will engage with C-suite and technical stakeholders, lead technical strategy, champion modernization efforts, and travel up to 50% as required to support strategic opportunities worldwide.

We are seeking a visionary and results-drivenSenior Systems Engineer, Global Accounts,to partner with Nutanix’s largest and most strategic global customers. This role goes beyond traditional pre-sales engineering and requires a strategic technical leader who can drive transformational initiatives, influence executive stakeholders, and deliver innovative solutions that shape the future of technology adoption.

You willserve as a trusted advisor to Nutanix’s Worldwide Global Sales leadership team, engaging directly with customer executives and key decision-makers to create value throughout the sales and adoption lifecycle.

Your Role

As aSenior Systems Engineer, Global Accounts, you will:

• Serve as the lead technical advisor for Nutanix's most strategic global accounts, driving business and technology outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives, architects, and technical stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and long-term technology direction.
• Engage at the C-suite level to articulate Nutanix's value proposition and support complex, high-impact business initiatives.
• Provide deep technical expertise across Nutanix solutions and adjacent technologies to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Act as a future technology expert, guiding customers on emerging trends such as AI, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, hybrid multicloud, and modern infrastructure.
• Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to align customer requirements with Nutanix strategy and roadmap.
• Lead technical strategy, solution development, and executive presentations for complex opportunities and transformational projects.
• Act as an escalation point and executive sponsor for critical customer technical challenges and strategic initiatives.
• Represent Nutanix at industry events, customer forums, executive briefings, and conferences through thought leadership and technical evangelism.
• Share best practices and mentor systems engineering colleagues across the organization through guidance, coaching, and technical leadership.
• Support strategic opportunities globally as needed, including acting as a dedicated technical resource for critical initiatives.
• Maintain flexibility to travel globally as required (approximately 50%).

What You Will Bring

• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, systems engineering, solution architecture, or a related customer-facing technology role.
• Demonstrated success supporting large enterprise or global accounts and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Deep expertise in virtualization, storage, AI, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and modern infrastructure architectures.
• Proven ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and Line-of-Business leaders.
• Strong ability to work independently while partnering effectively with sales and cross-functional teams to drive customer success.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Recognized technical credibility with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through expertise rather than formal authority.
• Experience serving as a technical thought leader, advisor, or evangelist within the industry.

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
