Job summary

Nutanix is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Systems Engineer, Global Accounts to partner with Nutanix’s largest and most strategic global customers. This role goes beyond traditional pre-sales engineering and requires a strategic technical leader who can drive transformational initiatives and influence executive stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Worldwide Global Sales to create value across the sales and adoption lifecycle, lead technical strategy for complex opportunities,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical pre-sales, systems engineering, solution architecture, or related customer-facing roles.
• Experience supporting large enterprise/global accounts and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Deep expertise in virtualization, storage, AI, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and modern infrastructure architectures.
• Proven ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders (CIOs/CTOs/Chief Architects/LOB leaders).
• Strong ability to work independently while partnering with sales and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Credibility as a technical thought leader, advisor, or evangelist in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical advisor for Nutanix's most strategic global accounts, driving business and technology outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives, architects, and technical stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.
• Engage at the C-suite level to articulate Nutanix's value proposition and support complex initiatives.
• Provide deep technical expertise across Nutanix solutions and adjacent technologies for successful outcomes.
• Guide customers on emerging trends such as AI, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and hybrid multicloud.
• Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to align requirements with strategy and roadmap.
• Lead technical strategy, solution development, and executive presentations for complex opportunities.
• Act as escalation point and executive sponsor for critical customer challenges.
• Represent Nutanix at events, forums, and conferences through thought leadership.
• Share best practices and mentor SE colleagues across the organization.
• Support strategic opportunities globally as needed, traveling as required (~50%).
