Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Kampen, the Netherlands, is seeking a Non-Conformity Expert PD to join the Quality team. You will investigate, analyze and resolve non-conformities related to Wärtsilä spare parts supplied worldwide, driving improvements across processes and products.

You will work with a skilled team of five experts and a broader Quality department to ensure the highest product quality standards for customers worldwide, with a focus on root cause analysis and preventive actions.

Qualifications

• Technical background in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and proven experience in root cause analysis.
• Experience in a quality-driven or high-precision technical environment.
• Structured, detail-oriented and decisive working style.
• A collaborative mindset with a strong service and customer focus.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Investigate quality-related customer complaints from initial notification to closure.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify why issues occur and how to prevent recurrence.
• Search and analyse information across multiple systems (including SAP and technical databases).
• Perform stock inspections and measurements using hand tools and technical drawings to verify product quality.
• Ensure non-conforming parts are identified and prevented from reaching customers.
• Compile clear and structured Root Cause Analysis reports in technical English.
• Test and measuring components according to technical standards, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate material analysis and inspections with Technical Support when required.
• Make technical decisions on whether parts need to be reworked, repaired, or recalled.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product and process quality.
• Ensure operational performance by meeting quality KPIs and contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
