Job summary

Jobgether, partnering with a Netherlands-based client, seeks a Senior Go Backend Engineer to design and deliver scalable backend services.

You will build APIs and SaaS platforms using Go, run across cloud environments, and apply modern deployment practices. This remote-first role offers a 6-month B2B contract across Europe with potential extension and competitive tech-focused collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in backend software engineering, with Go/Golang as a primary language.
• Hands-on experience designing APIs, backend services, and SaaS platforms.
• Experience with at least one major cloud environment (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable software architecture.
• Practical experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and modern deployment practices.
• Strong testing knowledge, including TDD, throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient backend services using Go.
• Build and evolve APIs, backend apps, and SaaS platforms.
• Architect and implement distributed systems and cloud-based solutions.
• Work with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/Google Cloud to run reliable services.
• Apply modern deployment practices including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop robust testing strategies across the software lifecycle (TDD, integration, performance).
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and client teams to translate business needs into solutions.
• Evaluate AI tools to improve engineering productivity and impact.
