Job summary

Nedap is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Go) to work on a scalable SaaS platform for managing access to buildings. The role is based in Groenlo, Netherlands, with a hybrid work model and 32–38 hours per week.

You will develop Go-based backend functionality for a system that handles complex access rights, model digital twins of spaces, and support enterprise clients with up to 100,000 users per site. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product and design teams, and mentor peers while shaping

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience in a production environment.
• Go experience or a similar backend language (e.g., C/C++, .NET, Java, PHP).
• Domain-Driven Design experience and architectural discipline (e.g., Clean Architecture).
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka is a plus).
• Strong focus on maintainability and scalability of code.
• Good command of English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and reliable Go functionality.
• Contribute to the platform's technical direction and development.
• Build for enterprise environments with large user bases.
• Write maintainable, tested code and perform code reviews.
• Translate complex domain challenges into concrete solutions.
• Address complex access and security issues in the product.
• Mentor less experienced developers.
• Identify opportunities to improve architecture and development processes.
