Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Sr. Business Controller for the Finance and Strategy FP&A team in Amsterdam. The role focuses on leadership in financial planning, strategic analysis, and performance storytelling to drive business decisions across the organization.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, optimize planning processes, and influence senior stakeholders while contributing to cost control and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive FP&A / Business Control experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; Google Sheets is a plus.
• Excellent English communication; ability to partner with demanding stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of financial planning processes (budgets, forecasts, long-term plans).
• Perform comprehensive financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities and risks for senior management.
• Partner with business units to define KPIs and drivers of financial success; develop and monitor metrics.
• Present analyses to senior leaders and negotiate on competing business interests.
• Drive cross-functional process improvements, automation of reporting, and transformation projects.
• Own large cross-functional projects with high business impact across teams.
• Support month-end close with finance and business partners.
