Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer – Services to lead controls activities on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects during the operational phase. You will focus on control performance, software lifecycle management, grid code compliance, RCA, and continuous improvement to maximize reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading the Services team, coordinating upgrades, and ensuring change management and documentation across Europe.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering; 3+ years in controls/automation.
• Experience with power generation or energy storage systems.
• Understanding of grid codes and EMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead Services team to deliver BESS control requirements.
• Serve as controls SME for customers and partners.
• Support LTSA execution with grid code testing.
• Coordinate software/firmware upgrades and testing.
• Perform RCA and implement corrective actions.
• Manage control improvements via data analysis.
• Enforce change management and document software releases.
• Travel up to 10% within Europe.
