Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for Services to lead BESS control system activities across projects during the operational phase. You will focus on control performance, software/firmware lifecycle, and grid-code compliance to maximize reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with Field Service Engineers and cross-functional teams to upgrade software, perform RCA, and drive continuous improvement across Europe. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Automation).
• Minimum 3 years in controls/software/automation within energy or renewables.
• Strong understanding of power generation, energy storage, and grid codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Services team to deliver BESS control system requirements on projects.
• Act as controls SME for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support LTSA execution by ensuring controls compliance and grid code testing across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
