Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer – Services to lead controls activities on Battery Energy Storage System projects during the operational phase. You will focus on control performance, lifecycle management of software/firmware, grid code compliance, RCA, and continuous improvement to maximize reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in controls engineering, software engineering, or automation within power/renewable sectors.
• Experience with control algorithms and applications for grid-connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the Services team to deliver BESS control system requirements.
• Serve as the controls SME for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support LTSA execution by ensuring controls compliance and grid code testing across EMEA sites.
