Job description

The commodity world is complex, it is fast-moving but traditional. These everyday products, from your morning coffee to the grains in your pasta, play a critical role in the global economy and in our daily lives.

Vesper is disrupting the commodity game. We are the fastest-growing commodity intelligence platform, trusted by giants like Nestlé, Unilever, and Danone. We combine cutting-edge AI with real-world data to give our customers the insights they need to win in a volatile market.

What we expect from this role

As our Partnerships Development Specialist, you play a key role in fueling Vesper’s growth. Your mission: build a strong network of high-quality data partners and open new doors that bring fresh, reliable market insights to our platform

.You will spend most of your time identifying and approaching potential data providers—commodity traders, market analysts, brokers, industry experts—and showing them the value of collaborating with Vesper. Cold outreach is part of the game, so we need someone who’s not afraid to pick up the phone, follow up smartly, and build rapport fast.

While you will also support the maintenance of existing data streams, this role is primarily commercial. You will work closely with our Partnerships, Product and Data teams to map key targets, qualify leads, and turn conversations into concrete partnerships. If you are naturally curious, commercially driven, and love connecting with people—you will thrive in this role.

What you will be doing
  • Identify and approach new partners: Map potential data sources, reach out via email/phone/LinkedIn, and convert cold leads into warm conversations.
  • Own the outreach funnel: Run a structured outbound process with a sharp eye on follow-up, lead qualification, and relationship development.
  • Pitch the value of Vesper: Explain clearly how data partners benefit from working with us—and tailor your pitch to their role in the value chain.
  • Support onboarding and coordination: Once a partner says yes, coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and data integration.
  • Maintain relationships: Be a reliable point of contact for active contributors—check in regularly, gather feedback, and keep the partnership alive.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Align with our Data Research and Partnerships teams to ensure strategic focus and a seamless partner experience.
  • Monitor and validate market data: Track key commodity price movements, update internal systems, and identify pricing trends or anomalies.
What you will bring
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience: Business development, commercial support, or sales—preferably in a fast-paced or data-driven company.
  • Commercial/Entrepreneurial mindset: You love outreach, get energy from closing new deals, and enjoy building long-term value through strong relationships.
  • Proactive attitude: You are not waiting for leads—you go out and find them. You’re curious, resourceful, and eager to push things forward.
  • Strong communicator: You’re confident in cold calling, know how to adapt your tone, and can communicate value clearly and concisely.
  • Structured and organized: You manage pipelines like a pro, track conversations, and never forget a follow-up.
  • Team player: You enjoy working in sync with others and align easily with cross-functional goals.
  • Fluency in English is required, Dutch is a strong plus.
What you get
  • A fast-moving, high-growth environment with lots of room to learn and grow
  • Full ownership of your outreach efforts and strategic accounts
  • A collaborative culture that values speed, clarity, and commercial impact
  • A chance to change the way the commodity world operates
  • An inspiring office in the heart of Amsterdam
  • Weekly team events, Friday drinks, and great colleagues
