Job summary

The Fun Group in Amsterdam is seeking a motivated Operations Intern for a 6-month, on-site placement. You will build boat schedules, assign crew, and create daily run sheets to ensure smooth shifts.

You will support the runners and dock teams, handle customer rebookings, perform on-the-ground checks, and help keep our service standards high. Fluency in English required; weekend Saturdays 2 per month; comfortable with PC tools and quick to learn new software.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.
• Comfortable with PC tools and quick to pick up new software.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Stress-resistant and able to stay sharp when plans change fast.
• Strong communicator, equally comfortable with customers and crew.
• Proactive - someone who spots what needs doing and takes initiative.

Responsibilities

• Build long- and short-term boat schedules, adjusting professionally for weather and seasonality.
• Plan and assign crew - dock team, runners, hosts, and skippers - for every shift.
• Create daily run sheets so every team knows exactly what's happening, when.
• Order additional services from suppliers as operational needs require.
• Coordinate boats and crew in real time throughout the day, stepping in wherever operations need a hand.
• Handle customer support during operations - rebooking and answering frequent questions.
• Coordinate and support the runners team on the ground.
• Run quality checks on the boats and at the dock to keep our standards high.
