Job summary

Roll Group is seeking a Vessel Operator to bridge vessels and the office, managing operational tasks and supporting the Operations Department in a dynamic, international setting.

You will own project control, coordinate with multiple departments, and contribute to feasibility reviews and cost approvals. The role requires a proactive, independent work style, fluency in Dutch and English, and occasional travel. Hybrid work is offered with two days on-site.

Qualifications

• Has completed a vocational degree in a relevant logistics or maritime field (such as Port Logistics or Port Operations Coordination).
• Works independently and takes initiative.
• Has an affinity with vessels and heavy cargo.
• Is a team player.
• Is proactive and hands-on.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing).
• Willingness to occasionally travel abroad.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on operational requests, feasibility checks, and PDA requests from other departments.
• Validate project costs and budgets in collaboration with the Commercial Department.
• Review charter parties to determine responsibilities and liabilities, and coordinate these with other departments and stakeholders.
• Appoint and evaluate local port agents, negotiate port charges, and approve FDAs.
• Take ownership of accurate project control and financial project administration.
