Job summary

Flying Fish Foils in Amsterdam offers a work placement in Finance & Logistics for a motivated student. You will gain hands-on experience in financial administration, purchasing, sales, and everything Exact. You will also help organize sea freight, air freight, and road transport to our dealers across Europe.

The internship is international with real responsibility and an allowance of €250. We value accuracy, independence, and eagerness to learn, and a passion for water sports is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must study Finance, Logistics, or Business Economics.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• Experience with Exact or another accounting package.
• Able to handle the dynamics of a startup.
• Accurate, reliable, and stress-resistant.

Responsibilities

• Finance: manage financial administration from purchasing to sales; report P&L monthly; monitor cash flow; manage debtor/creditor administration.
• Logistics: organize sea freight, air freight, and road transport to 50+ dealers across Europe; track inventory via Exact; dispatch parts on request.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our team with an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn student who is looking for a work placement in Finance & Logistics. We are looking for a student studying in the direction of Finance, Logistics or Business Economics.

What will you be doing?

Finance: You will be responsible for the entire financial administration of this company, from purchasing to sales. We work with the Exact accounting package, in which you will monthly report the profit and loss account, monitor cash flow, and be responsible for debtor and creditor administration.

Logistics: You will be responsible for organizing sea freight and air freight from China and road transport from our distribution center to our 50+ dealers across Europe. In addition, you will keep track of inventory via Exact and dispatch parts upon request.

Required skills

• Good numerical insight;
• Good knowledge of Excel;
• Fluent in spoken and written English AND Dutch;
• Experience with Exact or another accounting package;
• You can handle the dynamics of a startup;
• You are accurate, reliable, and stress-resistant;
• A high degree of independence, eagerness to learn, and motivation;
• A passion for water sports is a plus.
