Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Troubleshooter for our new Sassenheim site, joining the maintenance team and supporting the startup phase. You will troubleshoot equipment, organize technicians and vendors, and contribute to the broader Leiden site operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 3–7 years pharma or related experience, English (Dutch preferred), and CMMS/SAP proficiency. Expect a collaborative, fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3–7 years in pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Hands-on experience with equipment in an industrial setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Dutch preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and CMMS (SAP); RCA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting on equipment and utilities to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance with customers to set priorities.
• Liaise with clients/stakeholders to report status and manage expectations.
• Support root-cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Define spare part strategy and guide maintenance processes and procedures.
• Deliver maintenance deliverables for the project with minimal supervision.
