Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the Netherlands seeks an independent Maintenance Engineer Troubleshooter for a new Sassenheim site. You will troubleshoot equipment, coordinate J&J technicians, vendors and peers, and support preventive maintenance during the initial operational phase.

You will join a large Leiden maintenance team and help shape maintenance processes, deliverables and continuous improvements while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical MBO-4 in Engineering/Technical subjects, with 3–7 years in pharma or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting diverse equipment in an industrial setting and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Proficient in English; Dutch preferred; strong communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting tasks on equipment and utilities to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with customers and stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients to inform on status and align priorities.
• Support root cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Define spare parts strategy and maintain knowledge of assets and procedures.
• Provide guidance to team members and organize technicians, vendors, and peer engineers.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with procedures and internal policies.
