IQVIA is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the technical direction of data pipelines and data warehouse layers for the Patient Finder product. You will architect end-to-end solutions, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Engineering, QA and ML teams to deliver robust data capabilities.

You will lead ongoing improvements, promote best practices, and ensure scalability, reliability and data quality across the data landscape in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Formación

• Extensive hands-on Python development experience for scalable, production-grade solutions.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with modern orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling in analytics ecosystems.
• Experience with Databricks data engineering workflows and large-scale pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills across MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar.
• Experience building cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.
• Strong leadership/mentorship for data engineering teams.
• Ability to make independent architecture and design decisions balancing scalability and business needs.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of the data platform (pipelines + warehouse).
• Drive platform evolution by standardising patterns and reducing overhead.
• Ensure release planning, validation strategies, risk management and clear stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to refine requirements and prioritise backlog.
• Raise engineering standards through reviews, testing, and responsible AI-assisted development.
• Collaborate with QA to improve test maturity and automation for pipelines.
• Collaborate with AI/ML leads to integrate data components with the product ecosystem.
• Lead the data engineering team and manage work intake and prioritisation.
