Job summary

IQVIA’s Patient Finder team is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in the Netherlands to drive the design and delivery of the data platform, including pipelines and data warehouse layers, primarily using Python, SQL, and modern orchestration tools. You will influence architectural decisions and promote reliability and scalability across the data landscape.

You will mentor and coach engineers, collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and ML leads, and help shape the data strategy for enabling clinical

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on Python development experience.
Proven design, development, and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines.
Advanced SQL skills and data warehouse expertise.
Experience with cloud data platforms and data governance.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and delivery of the data platform (pipelines + warehouse).
Standardise patterns, reduce overhead, improve maintainability.
Ensure release planning, validation, risk management and stakeholder communication.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to refine requirements and priorities.
Mentor and coach data engineers, support career development.
Drive automation, tests, and quality practices across pipelines.
Work with QA and ML leads to integrate data components into the product ecosystem.
Lead the data engineering team and own work intake and prioritisation.
