Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Lead Data Engineer for the Patient Finder data platform, driving end-to-end design of pipelines and data warehouse layers using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools. You will mentor a growing team across App, Data and AI/ML squads, aligning with product requirements and ensuring robust, scalable data solutions.

You will lead platform evolution, improve testing, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact healthcare data capabilities, with flexible hybrid working

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development with scalable, production-grade solutions.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with modern orchestration tools (Airflow/Prefect/Luigi/Dagster).
• Experience building cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of the data platform (pipelines + warehouse).
• Drive platform evolution by standardising patterns and reducing overhead.
• Ensure release planning, validation strategies, risk management, and clear stakeholder communication.
• Partner with Product/Engineering to refine requirements and prioritise backlog.
• Raise engineering standards through reviews and testing practices, including AI-assisted tooling.
• Increase test maturity, coverage, and automation with QA collaboration.
• Integrate data components with the wider product ecosystem (search/ML).
• Lead the data engineering team and coach engineers.
