Job summary

Carstens Café in Amsterdam is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the kitchen leadership team in delivering fresh, high-quality dishes while developing culinary skills in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

You will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef and help lead by example, with opportunities to grow within PPHE Hotel Group across Europe. A strong emphasis on fresh ingredients and genuine hospitality is core to our service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering high-quality dishes.
• Ability to supervise, coach, or train junior team members.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and stays organized under pressure.
