Job summary

Carstens Café zoekt een Junior Sous Chef om de koks-leiding te ondersteunen en te werken met verse, seizoensgebonden ingrediënten in een drukke keuken.

Qualifications

• Ervaring als Chef de Partie of Junior Sous Chef in een drukke keuken.
• Passie voor verse, seizoensgebonden ingrediënten en constante kwaliteit.
• Ondersteunen van Sous Chef en Head Chef in de dagelijkse keuken en het geven van het voorbeeld.
• Ervaring met leidinggeven aan junior teamleden.
• Flexibel en bereid om ontbijt, lunch, diner en events te ondersteunen.

Responsibilities

• Ondersteun de keukenleiding bij dagelijkse operaties.
• Leid en coach junior teamleden.
• Zorg voor voedselveiligheid en HACCP-naleving.
• Werk samen met het team om gasten een memorabele beleving te geven.

Are you the perfect match?

• You have experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen
• You are passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering consistently high-quality dishes
• You support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen and enjoy leading by example
• You have experience supervising, coaching, or training junior team members
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain organised under pressure
• You have a good understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen operational standards
• You are flexible and willing to support different service periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events when required
• Your biggest motivation is creating memorable dining experiences and exceeding guest expectations
