PPHE Hotel Group is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for Carstens Café at Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam. You will support the kitchen leadership in delivering fresh, high-quality dishes and help you develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have experience as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in busy kitchens, a passion for seasonal ingredients, and a strong focus on food safety and teamwork. This role offers opportunities for progression within PPHE across Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen/hotel restaurant.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality dishes.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and lead by example.
• Experience supervising or training junior team members.
• Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP.
• Flexible to cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and events.

• You have experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen
• You are passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering consistently high-quality dishes
• You support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen and enjoy leading by example
• You have experience supervising, coaching, or training junior team members
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain organised under pressure
• You have a good understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen operational standards
• You are flexible and willing to support different service periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events when required
