Sia, Amsterdam office, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy GenAI applications at client sites. You will bridge data science, ML/platform engineering, and delivery, building LLM-based solutions, RAG pipelines, and tool-using agents while delivering measurable ROI.

You should have a Master’s in CS/AI, 0–2 years of experience, hands-on LLM projects, and strong Python/API skills. Dutch and English are required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, AI, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of experience, including internships or research.
• Built with LLMs in coursework, thesis, internships, or personal projects.
• Clean Python code and willingness to learn client stacks.
• Experience calling APIs and integrating systems.
• Ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Desire to grow quickly and take on more responsibility.
• Dutch and English proficiency; German a strong advantage.

Responsabilités

• Spend time on client sites with a senior Forward Deployed Engineer to learn workflows and AI opportunities.
• Scope and build LLM-based solutions: RAG pipelines, tool-using agents, automation, and chat interfaces.
• Connect solutions to existing systems (APIs, databases, business tools) using established patterns.
• Apply data protection and AI regulation requirements (GDPR, EU AI Act, model licences).
• Support user adoption: documentation, training, and feedback collection.
• Measure performance and suggest improvements to senior colleagues.
• Share progress with both technical and business audiences.
